Near the Caspian sea, there are two provinces called Gilan and Mazandaran covered with beautiful forests and cities with clean air and beautiful hotels, motels and suites for tourists, to relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature, forests, mountains and the Caspian sea.

Heyran is a ghat in the Astara area in the Gilan province and is made up of 3 parts: lower, middle and upper Heyran. The most significant touristic area near this village is the Heyran Col (Per: Gardane-Heyran) which is located in the Astara-Ardebil road.
The word Heyran (En: surprised) is really a good name for the village because the weather and the nature really surprises every tourist. When you visit Heyran make sure to head to traditional restaurants and also do not forget to buy some of the natural honey.
The Col, 1500 meters above the sea level, is almost always foggy (The fog caused by the Caspian Sea). It neighbors High Mountains and a valley from which “Astarachay” river passes in the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
The Heyran also has other touristic and recreational facilities including the Heyran Telecabin which was established in 2011.

Masouleh is a village in Gilan Province and was founded in the 10th century AD. Historical names for the village include Masalar and Khortab. Masouleh is approximately 60 kilometers southwest of Rasht and 32 kilometers west of Fuman. The village is 1,050 meters above sea level in the Alborz mountain range, near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea.
The village itself has a difference in elevation of 100 meters. Its population has declined since the latter half of the 20th century, reducing from 3,500 to 900 at the turn of the century. The native people of Masouleh speak Talesh, a Northwestern Iranian language spoken in the northern regions of Gilan, Ardebil and the southern regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The first village of Masouleh was established approximately around 1006 AD, 6 kilometers northwest of the current village and is called Old Masouleh. People moved from Old Masouleh to the current village because of pestilence and neighbor attacks. Masouleh-Rudkhan is the river passing through the village with a waterfall 200 meters away from the village. Many other springs are also found around Masouleh which is surrounded by dense forests from valley to mount. Fog is the predominate weather feature of Masouleh.
Masouleh architecture is unique. The buildings have been built into the mountain and are interconnected. Courtyards and roofs both serve as pedestrian areas similar to streets. Due to its unique layout Masouleh does not permit any motor vehicles to enter as the small streets and many stairs virtually make it impossible for vehicles to operate in the village.
Anzali Lagoon (also Anzali Mordab, Anzali Bay, Pahlavi Mordab, Pahlavi Bay or Anzali Liman) is a coastal liman, or lagoon, in the Caspian Sea near the Port of Anzali, in the northern Iranian province of Gilan. Bandar-e Anzali stands on both sides of the entrance to the lagoon, though the port is mainly on the eastern side.Although the lagoon suffers from pollution, it is known as a good place for bird watching. The lagoon has decreased in size since the 1930s to less than a quarter of its former extent. However, in the last ten years water salinity has increased both by the rise of the level of the Caspian Sea which has caused greater interchange of waters, and due to greater salt transport in incoming "fresh" water due to increased upstream irrigation.
Anzali lagoon is famous for the boat trips. In some places in lagoon beautiful water lily blossoms in certain times of the year. The lagoon is also home to many migrant birds. The lagoon is an important sanctuary for wildlife, especially birds and can be accessed by speed-boat or a local fishing vessel.
